Worship Our Blessings?

As we continue to look at the name "Elohim"- God the creator....it made me think about worshipping our blessings rather than He that provided the blessings. Elohim is worthy to be praised and thanked - abundantly - for the blessings that He provides us. Even the "blessings" that are hard to swallow - but grow us closer to Him through a refining fire.
He is worthy to be praised - and there should be nothing that takes His place of esteem in our hearts.
Not husbands, children, material stuff or past hurts...nothing should upstage God's spotlight and absolute worship and thankfulness in our hearts.
Thinking of He that created You - in His image...and has blessed you with a wonderful earth to live and enjoy...family, friends, cars, house, ipads and cell phones, computers, TV and facebook.
Does any of this take the spotlight in your life?
Does any of this upstage God in your heart?
Are you "worshipping" the blessings rather than He that provided the blessings?
Do any of these things take too much of your time? He is worthy to be praised, are you praising Him with your time, with all of your heart? Or are you "fitting Him in" around the time the blessings consume?
I pray that God would reveal to our hearts today - places where we may be worshipping our blessings with our time and attention - rather than worshipping God. Worshipping He that gave it all to us - for His glory- for us to do "kingdom work", share the gospel and be the hands and feet of Christ.
We simply cant do that if we are not worshipping our Elohim with:
Time
Attention
Love
Prayer
Time in His word
Release of those we love into His care.
Thankful hearts for our blessings - but not dependence on our blessings.Instead, absolute dependence on Elohim.
Trusting Elohim with our circumstances, our conflicts and our hearts.
Faith that He is in control and that He will never drop us. He that created you, knows each strand of hair on your precious head - and He will not drop you. Trust your creator with your heart - and be thankful for all of the blessings He has bestowed upon you!
