Beauty of God!

El Elyon: God Most High…..means there is nothing higher – he is the MOST HIGH. I think one of the most powerful tools satan uses against our hearts – is having us believe that he is on equal footing with God. That he has power and dominion equaled to God.

Satan is a fallen angel and angels are created beings….satan would like to scare us into thinking that he has equal footing – but HE is a created being and our GOD MOST HIGH has absolute dominion and victory over his schemes, tactics and attacks. (See Job 1 and 2…)

I get really angry when I see the horror movies that idealize the demonic. Movies like “The Exorcist” for example….these movies strike fear in our hearts and try to elevate the demonic. The frightening images can make our hearts skip a beat and the fascination can turn to dread and to fear. Last night, I was  watching TV and a commercial came on for :The Woman In Black” (or something like that)…I just closed my eyes and chose not to see the images that wanted to claw into my brain…elevating, giving power – through fear…..to the wrong side.

Today, lets remember that we serve “El Elyon” and He who is in us is greater than he that is in the world. In Christ’s blood, we have victory over every attack, and all the makeup Hollywood can muster, all the vomit and the ooze and guttural voices, can not take away the fact that satan is a created being and Christ wins in the end!

What does that mean to me today? Satan is not equal to my God. My God has complete power, He is omnipresent, Omniscient and All Knowing. He is my All-in All, and He holds me in the palm of His hand. He catches my tears in a bottle and He lovingly disciplines me. THAT'S where I will set my eyes – on the beauty of my God!
